This painting of Siwash Rock was a commission painting.

The client requested one a previous painting of Siwash Rock that had already sold out. In hopes to make this artwork unique but similar, I used the same reference photos but I made sure not to look at the other painting. After I found out that the client had my painting as their desktop background for years!! So requested I make changes to make it further look like the previous painting.

This is why it is critical to clear understanding of the client's expectations up front - as I was attempting to make the painting unique but the client wanted the same.
