Tim Jones Peak no. 7, Small Study, 10 x 10 inches
This painting is inspired by the views while hiking to Seymour Peak in North Vancouver BC. As you approach the summit, you go past Pump Peak and Tim Jones Peak. The views along the way are rocky cliffs with layers of tree lines and 360 degree mountain views.
Rather than trying to fit it all in one large piece; I want to share small ideas of the the beautiful textures, shapes and colors of the ridges, rocks and layered tree lines. It also feels similar to the hiking experience; during a hike I am watching the terrain in front of me, carefully placing my feet and poles to keep moving forward and for short moments I look up and take in the views. These paintings are those moments.
Details about this painting
This painting is acrylic paint on canvas. The canvas is gallery wrapped (~3/4" thick) and I continue the painting around the edges (as shown in the photo). The painting is signed in paint on the edge "JHastie" and signed and dated on the back. The painting comes with hanging wire and hardware. I use satin varnish which reduces the glossiness so the painting can be seen from all angles.
Your painting arrives ready to hang, installed with a white front loading frame.
