Time to Explore Print
About the Image
This painting is titled after the collection "Time to Explore".
I was hiking with my son (when he was almost 2) when I happened on this view. Our total hike was less than a kilometer but we visited a waterfall, threw rocks into a river and sat on a log. My son also read the sign (that had an image of a fish) and told me there were sharks!!
We explored this small area of the mountain and had so much fun. My son's first comment as we got into the trails was "Mommy's paintings!" as he pointed to the trees. He also said hello to many of the trees individually. Often I am hiking or biking to get distance and exercise in, it was a lovely evening exploring and enjoying a small part of the trails.
I hope this painting makes you explore the details in the trails too.
Original Painting was done in 2022, acrylic on canvas, 14" x 18"
About the Printing process
Your artwork gets printed onto Premium Matte Exhibition Canvas or Hot Press Bright Art Paper in my art studio in New Westminster (or for larger prints at a local Vancouver print shop who also uses an Epson Fine Art printer). Your print is then hand cut and signed by me. I sign paper prints on the bottom right corner in the white border and I sign canvas prints on the back. The canvas print is un-stretched and can be framed just like a paper print would with or without a mat.
Canvas has a texture to it making it look more like the original. I sign the back of the canvas with pencil and I write the year printed. The image is printed right to the edge (no border).
Canvas border & varnish Add-on: You can choose to add an optional UV protective varnish and extra border to your canvas print by purchasing this listing. Please select the appropriate size to the print you have ordered .
Hot Press Bright is a smooth, bright white archival paper. I include a 1" white border (0.5" border on 8"x10" size) and I sign the bottom right corner with pencil. The paper is 300gsm (140lbs).
Larger Sizes = Longer processing time
My studio printer is limited to 24" on the short side (i.e. maximum size of 24"x36"). If you order a print larger than 24" please allow an extra week for me to get your print done by a local Vancouver printer. I only visit them a couple times a month to pick up print orders.
Depending on the print size, the print will be packaged in a Stay-Flat cardboard envelope with backing board and plastic sleeve, or larger prints I roll with tissue paper into a 3" cardboard tube.
Shipping & Custom Fees
Each print is made to order in my New Westminster studio space (or I outsource to a local printer if the print is larger than 24").
Please allow 3-6 days for printing and packaging (or 2 weeks if larger than 24"). The timing is depending on my painting business capacity. And then allow 1 week for shipping. Please be aware that there may be additional VAT/customs charges to be paid by the customer on delivery depending on your location/country.
How to frame un-stretched canvas prints
Not sure how to frame your print? I created tutorials to help you frame your print yourself. If that is too much work may I also suggest some local framers. Click here for all the information regarding framing. I recommend protecting both types of print with glass or a lighter option, plexi-glass. No glass is required for canvas prints that have the varnish option added.
Refunds and Returns
If your print is damaged in the mail please send me a photo of the packaging and the print as soon as possible. I will replace your order.
Enjoying the art on your walls is especially important to me. I hope you are completely satisfied with your purchase. Please read my refunds and exchange policy regarding prints. Click here.
