About the Painting:

This painting shows the view looking down the staircase around the 35/40 mark on the Grouse Grind trail. The wooden steps cut sharply through the forest, with the slope dropping steeply beneath the trees. Anyone who has hiked the Grind knows this feeling — looking back to catch your breath and realizing just how high you’ve already climbed.
