Inspiration for this painting

This original painting is inspired from views while hiking on Mount Fromme in Vancouver's North Shore mountains. It shows the sunlight coming through the forest trees along the main switchback trail.

This painting is part of the collection Forest Light released in September 2021. During the past year I made focused effort to get consistently out to the trails on my bike as well as hiking. The adventures inspired this collection of paintings.

Details of this painting

This painting is acrylic paint on canvas. The canvas is gallery wrapped (1.5" thick) and I continue the painting around the edges (as shown in the photo). The painting is signed in paint on the front "JHastie" and signed and dated on the back. The painting comes with hanging wire and hardware.
