About the Painting:
Forest Edge captures a quiet, transitional moment—where the dense forest gives way to open ground and light. Long tree shadows stretch across the earth, casting soft patterns on the forest floor. This piece is inspired by the forests of North Vancouver, where light and shadow constantly shift along the trail edges. While the exact spot is lost to memory, the atmosphere is instantly familiar to anyone who’s walked these woods. This painting was done a few years back.
