About the Painting:
After about an hour of steady uphill hiking (much longer if you are filming), Middle Joffre Lake comes into view. The reward is turquoise water set against towering peaks, with a single log stretching out across the lake in line with the glacier above. Hikers often stop here for photos and to rest at the shoreline. This painting reflects that pause — taking in the scale of the scenery and the satisfaction of the climb.
