About the Painting:

I was biking the Bridle Path on a spring morning when the sun broke through the canopy directly overhead. A moment that stops me because the light is too good to ride past. The rocks and roots on the trail turned into pure abstract shapes, lit from above with hard shadows cutting across them. I wanted to paint the feeling of light shining in all directions.
