About the Painting:

This painting almost didn't exist. The first attempt went too far, too much detail, too much contrast, so I painted it again and let the brushstrokes be. A soft sun sits in the haze, diffused through ferns and leaves. Only the sunburst carries a pop of orange, with a small sparkle catching in the grass below. The feeling of an early morning before the day asks anything of you.
