About the Painting:

I've ridden Burnaby Mountain many times in training, but this was the morning it finally stopped me. Early light was cutting through the trees, throwing long shadows across the trail. I pulled out my phone and took a photo. Back in the studio, I let the warm sienna, blues and purples into the shadows to bring the forest floor to life. My first Burnaby Mountain painting.
