About the Painting:

I've passed spots like this many times on Seymour. This one stopped me. The moss floor was lit up in yellow-green while the trunks around it stayed dark and cool, two completely different temperatures of colour right next to each other. Back in the studio I pushed that contrast further, letting the trunks go purple so the clearing could really glow.
